<< Back1st Annual Alumnae Christmas Luncheon is Great Success

December is a very busy month for most of our alumnae but 110 alums, their daughters, mothers and friends took the time to attend Louisville's 1st Annual Alumnae Luncheon. Chairwoman, Mary Calfo Burns, '81 with Marie Damiano Miller, '65, Mary O'Connell Stone, '71, Terry Williams Walker, '78 and Erica Sheppard, '01 worked with Alumnae Director, Mary Loffa, to make this event happen.
The doors to St. Louis Hall opened at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, December 14 and the hall was filled with the sound of caroling by Ensemble Royale. There were thirteen spotlight raffle baskets filled with everything from haircare to gift certificates. The tables were draped in white with red napkins and poinsettias to create a beautiful Christmas decor. Each guest received a fleur d'lis ornament at their place. The hall was decorated with twinkling Christmas trees adorned with gaily wrapped Christmas boxes.
The sit-down luncheon was catered by Henri's Catering of Canoga Park and Louisville National Honor Society girls waited tables. Everyone was invited to join in for caroling, accompanied by Maura Piazza, '81, at the piano.
Everyone agreed that this was a wonderful event and promised to attend again next year.
